When people love you and are thirsty for you,they vote for you in large numbers because they have a lot of admiration for you and for your work.
The people of Kiboga district where Hon.Desire Muhooza is their new district Woman member of Parliament, started trickling in at the venue at Sheraton hotel yesterday as early as 10am when the function was scheduled at 4pm.
That is genuine affection and respect for their leader.This is driven by trust,empathy and belief that the leader has their best interests at heart.
Every leader who was given a microphone had different testimonies about Hon Desire Muhooza who is also a new state minister for Agriculture Animal industry and fisheries.The Rt Hon. Speaker,Oboth Oboth hailed Hon. Desire for her perchant in diplomacy that she is able to bring different Heads of State into the country at her tender age.
Hajjat Namyalo remnised those days when they used to work together with Gen.Salim Saleh.She also praised the people of Kiboga district for faithfully voting Hon Desire and promised that Office of the National Chairman (ONC) empowerment tools program was going to be reignited and that the people of Kiboga will gain from those wealth creation tools.
She took off some time to complement Hon Desire Muhooza body as beautiful and attractiveness is a leverage in service.Hajjat Hadijjah Namyalo SPA/PA, who is also the manager of ONC thanked the people of Kiboga for giving her cows which she gives out to the needy for meat.
Among the top dignitaries that attended the thanksgiving ceremony for Hon Desire include: Rt Hon. Speaker of Parliament,Jacob Oboth Oboth;the Chief Justice of Uganda, Dr Flavian Nzeija;Minister for justice,Hon.Nobert Mao;Minister for Science, Technology and Innovation, Eng.Jonard Asiimwe who is also a CEC member of the NRM; NRM secretary General, Rt Hon.Richard Twodong; Hon.Moses Byaruhanga,Advisor at the office of the President.Head of Uganda External Security Organization, Ambassador Joseph Ocwet,Members of Parliament, Diplomats including the EU ambassador to Uganda, Jan Sadek; Hon.Mukasa Mbidde,former EALA , NEMA ED, Mr.Babirega Akankwasa,Caroline Kembabazi,Presidential Assistant; Members of Good money fraternity where Desire and Namyalo are members, State house legal team,RDCs,District heads among others.
The function was graced by gospel artist Silver Kyagulanyi who sung Godly melodies plus other culture performance. The function was climaxed by cutting a cake and serving guests a buffet.Hon Desire thanked the people of Kiboga for trusting her and giving her a platform to become a Minister.
Hon Desire also thanked His Excellency the president and NRM party chairman for his vision and trust in her.
