Kampala Standard Nursery and Primary School in Kyanja has opened applications and interviews for pupils seeking admission for the 2027 academic year.

The Kyanja-based private school, located along Plot 5214 on the Kisaasi-Kyanja Road next to Kentim University, is inviting parents and guardians to apply for places from nursery through Primary Six.

According to the school’s latest admission announcement, the institution is also offering school transport services for learners, with parents able to contact the administration for further details.

The school says its education programme is designed around a balanced curriculum delivered by an experienced teaching team, with emphasis on learners’ academic and practical development.

Kampala Standard has in recent years attracted attention for its performance in the Primary Leaving Examination (PLE). In the 2025 PLE, 43 of its 45 candidates attained Division One, representing 96 per cent, while the remaining two pupils obtained Division Two.

The school’s recent academic performance follows a strong showing in the 2024 PLE, when 26 of 30 candidates obtained Division One and four attained Division Two. The school was also reported to have been recognised by the Kampala Capital City Authority for its performance.

Beyond classroom learning, Kampala Standard promotes co-curricular activities and STEM-related programmes, including its Young Engineers initiative. The school was recognised in 2025 for its Young Engineer Mentorship programme in an award reported as the Responsible Investment Global Award for Best Primary School in Kampala.

The school also provides a range of clubs and activities, including Art and Design, Scouts and Band, Farmers Club, Cosmetology, Home Economics, Young Engineers/Robotics and Young Doctors Club.

For parents seeking admission, the school has provided the following contacts: 0772 816 419 and 0709 287 903.

The 2027 admission campaign comes as the school continues to position itself as a private nursery and primary institution combining academic learning, practical skills and co-curricular development.
