Kampala — Renowned preacher and founder of ETM Church International, Pastor Ronnie Makabai, has declared the year 2026 as the beginning of a spiritual "new era," calling on Christians to align with what he described as “Code 6” — a divine principle meant to unlock transformation in the lives of believers.
Speaking during a crossover service broadcast live on Christ FM and RTV, Pastor Makabai emphasized that spiritual timing, not political or economic calendars, defines change. The service attracted thousands both physically and online, with journalists Sadat Ogoye and Amanda Tana seeking clarity on how believers can practically apply “Code 6” and why this timing matters.
“It’s a new era because the time of God has come. This isn’t about politics or global trends — it’s a shift in the spirit. God operates on His own calendar,” Pastor Makabai said in response.
He explained that “Code 6” refers to a divine pattern through which individuals must align their actions with God’s will. According to Makabai, this involves prayer, discernment, obedience, and recognizing spiritual seasons to unlock personal and national transformation.“Many people fail not because of lack of resources, but because they are out of sync with divine timing. Code 6 is about understanding when to act, when to wait, and how to move with God,” he taught.
The pastor discouraged fear about the uncertainties of 2026, instead urging believers to embrace the season with faith, maturity, and preparation. “This is not a time for confusion or reaction. It’s a time to walk in wisdom and spiritual understanding,” he added.
He stressed that 2026 offers opportunities for spiritual growth, economic ideas, and national clarity — but only for those prepared to act intentionally under divine guidance.
Pastor Makabai’s message has sparked wide engagement among Christians in Uganda and abroad, with many interpreting “Code 6” as a spiritual call to re-evaluate priorities and embrace purpose-driven living.
