Ugandan comedian Anne Kansiime has left many stunned after revealing that she once paid her own dowry because her then husband couldn’t afford it.
Kansiime shared that family pressure pushed her into making the bold decision just to meet marriage expectations.

Meanwhile, reports indicate that Kansiime and her partner Skylanta have ended their 5-year relationship. The news follows the release of his song “Ex,” where he allegedly takes a swipe at her.
Once seen as one of Uganda’s most admired celebrity couples, the two share a child together, and their split—if confirmed—marks the end of an era. This would also be Kansiime’s second divorce.
