Uganda Hands Over Migration Chairmanship To Tanzania

By Our Reporter

Uganda has officially handed over the Chairmanship of the Regional Ministerial Forum on Migration (RMFM) to the United Republic of Tanzania during the Ministerial Meeting held in Dodoma.

Hon. Lt Gen Henry K. Tumukunde handed over the chairmanship to Hon. Deus Clement Sangu, marking the successful conclusion of Uganda's two-year tenure as Chair since assuming the role from Ethiopia in 2024.

The handover was witnessed by Hon. Simon Mulongo, Dr. Lawrence Egulu and senior government officials from both countries. Dr. Egulu also officially handed over the Chairmanship of the Regional Technical Advisory Committee (RTAC) to Ms. Mary Ngelela Maganga.

We congratulate Uganda on the successful completion of its tenure and wish the United Republic of Tanzania every success as it assumes the RMFM Chairmanship for the next two years.
