By the Disciples of Odrek Rwabwogo – Ankole Chapter.
The feud between the Kasambya Member of Parliament who doubles as the head of the office of National Chairman of the Patriotic League of Uganda Hon David Kabanda and The Special Presidential advisor Mr Odrek Rwabwogo has taken a new twist. The feud has now left social media and it is hitting the mainstream media.
Asante Times has landed on the letter from the public domain authored by the group aligned to Mr Rwabwogo,here is the letter;
We write this letter with deep concern over the persistent blackmail, character assassination and smear campaign that some among you have continuously directed at our leader, teacher, mentor, role model, thinker and statesman of our nation Uganda *Chairman Odrek Rwabwogo.* We respectfully but firmly say; "ENOUGH IS ENOUGH."
In one of his recent video statements, Hon. David Kabanda alleged that Chairman Odrek Rwabwogo is attempting to enter politics "through the window" because he has consistently advocated for reforms within the National Resistance Movement-NRM.
We wish to remind Mr. Kabanda and those who share his position that every Ugandan has a constitutional and democratic right to participate in the political affairs of their country!
Advocating for institutional reforms, promoting constructive dialogue, and contributing ideas for strengthening the NRM should never be misconstrued as a political offence. More importantly, Uganda is not currently in an official campaign period and there is nothing improper about engaging in national conversations on leadership, governance, and the future of our party.
We also call upon Mr. Kabanda David and his colleagues to refrain from the politics of intimidation, insults, harassment and personal attacks against fellow Ugandans simply because they hold different opinions. Democracy thrives through respectful engagement, the contest of ideas, and tolerance of diverse views, not through fear, propaganda, or character assassination.
As patriotic citizens, we shall continue to oppose any form of political intolerance or anarchic conduct that undermines national unity and democratic discourse. Uganda deserves mature leadership founded on facts, civility, and principled debate rather than sensationalism and divisive rhetoric!
Finally, we urge you to embrace constructive engagement instead of unnecessary confrontation. Where facts are lacking, humility and silence are far more honourable than misinformation and false accusations. Please Hon . Kabanda stop behaving like a groomed member of assassination squad . We beg you to use Parliament salary and get admitted back to school so that your reasoning can be morally perceived. We pray to God to help you leave the club of simpleton and join the class of sage.
We hope you will receive our message in good faith, reflect on it and choose a responsible leadership and the unity of our nation. Remember people of Ankole will not accept your jealousy and innate ignorance. Please trade your hate “Obukyayi, eihari and eitima” outside Ankole ccommunity.
Whether Hon Kabanda will reply or ignore,your guess is as good as ours.
