UMCS strengthens international cooperation in Tanzania!

By Staff Reporter

A delegation from Maria Curie-Skłodowska University, consisting of representatives of the Faculty of Economics (Wydział Ekonomiczny - UMCS) – Dr. Jacek Jakubczak, Dr. Piotr Wetoszka and Dr. Konrad Czernichowski – together with mgr Karolina Sokolińska, Head of the International Student Office, is taking part in an Erasmus+ KA171 mobility at Jordan University College in Morogoro, Tanzania.

The visit provides an opportunity to exchange experiences, learn more about the partner institution and its local context, and gain inspiration for further international cooperation. As part of the programme, an open lecture was organized for the academic community. Dr. Jacek Jakubczak delivered a presentation on China–Africa cooperation, while Karolina Sokolińska discussed UMCS internationalization efforts, support services for international students, Erasmus+ opportunities, the ATHENA European University alliance, and the creation of a welcoming environment for students and staff from around the world.

The delegation also had the opportunity to meet former Erasmus+ exchange students and graduates of full-degree programmes at UMCS, who shared their experiences of studying and living in Lublin.

Next week, UMCS will welcome staff members from Jordan University College, who will visit our campus and meet with the university community to further strengthen cooperation between our institutions.
