FUFA Western Regional League Returns as Asante SC Make Long Trip To Face Rwenshama FC

Following the festive hiatus , action in the league returns in the third tier league on the 17th January 2026, debutants Asante SC travel to Rukungiri to face hosts Rwenshama in what is billed as a clash of the titans

Coach Fostine Mastiko believes the festive break has given his back room stuff ample time to fine tune his charges ahead of the daunting fixture

“We had a few injuries prior to the Christmas break but they’ve shaken off the niggling issues , we will be good to go ,am confident we will get the three points on the road”,beamed the soft spoken Asante SC boss

 

Asante SC will rely on the likes of defender Zaga and playmaker Kakoba Boy Isma Mawazi as is skipper Geoffrey to lead a youthful team to scoop points on the road as they bid to surge up the log.

 

Elsehwere Gorilla Highlands will lock horns with Mutolere SC in Kisoro Derby while Kihihi Young Boys tussle it out with Kabale City in a much anticipated Kigezi derby.

Relatedly Rwampara Bulls will face Mbarara FC in a mouthwatering Ankole derby at Kinoni play grounds while Six O’clock of Bushenyi travel to Rukungiri for a clash with Rukungiri United
